Florian Laroye

Florian Laroye is an ex design leader who has always been passionate about design, new technologies and photography.

For him, photography is an act of remembrance. Every moment is a chance to preserve memories, fragments of life that might otherwise fade. So when he looks back, he relives the moment. And when others see his work, he hopes they too are taken somewhere else. That connection is what rewards him most.

“Did you know I own the world’s best camera? The iPhone ☻
Always in my pocket. Always just 2 seconds away from the next capture.
I let my curiosity notice colors, shapes, compositions, romanticism and boooom, it’s captured.”

— Florian Laroye

The Art Of Noticing

His photos are not planned, not staged, not stylized. His way of photographing is driven by curiosity. When something catches his eye he knows it’s meant to be captured.

From thousands of possible perspectives, one reveals itself. That’s what The Art of Noticing is.
It's a movement he follows every day. A constant, quiet instinct. Photography as a response to what the world offers, right now, just as it is.

From a thousand perspectives, which one?

He lived in Paris for 25 years, where his sense of balance and composition found its first expression. Drawn to aesthetics from a young age, he later refined this eye through a career in design. Ironically, he was once rejected by a photography school. Yet today, he captures the very images he was told he couldn’t create.

Now settled in Amsterdam, a city of openness and contrasts, he draws inspiration from its diversity of perspectives. The city sharpened his vision and anchored his life in creativity, making his artistic voice more assertive than ever.

Dedicated to travel, he has captured some of the world’s most striking places. Yet he believes beauty is never too far: it can be found right where you stand. For him, it’s always a matter of perspective. This is the Art of Noticing.
